Fiber glass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) refers to a laminate structure made of fiber glass which is reinforced by thermosetting resins such as unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin, phenol resin, etc. It has been estimated to be a whole new plastic which has a wider range of applications in the future.

Young Poong FRP specializes in the production and design of FRP-products on the base of its know-how of nonferrous metal production and relative chemistry: anticorrosion, abrasion resistance and disposal of poisonous gas. In particular, it set up the FRP-unit, joined hands with Marueikako.Co., one of the top 3 FRP-production firms and modernized FRP-production facilities and technologies. As a result, it has received ISO 9001 by LLOYD and is now doing best to gratify its customers.

< Strengths of FRP >

1. Highly-resistant to corrosion: FRP is highly-resistant to acid, alkali, salt, flux, etc.
2. Light but strong: FRP is lighter than steel by one fifth and stronger compared to its weight.
3. FRP does not release metal ions and its permeability is excellent.
4. FRP is easily molded, colored, decorated and mended. It is also effective in design.
5. FRP does not soften at high temperatures and embrittle at low temperatures (-40¡É to 120¡É).
6. FRP insulates well. (It is better than steel by 200 times.)
